Sports, groups and venues
The structure everything else hangs off, and the distinction between a sport and a squad.

Three levels, and it is worth getting the vocabulary right because the whole app uses it consistently.
| Term | Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Sport | A discipline you coach | Sprints, Throws, U14 Football |
| Group | A training squad inside a sport | U13 Sprints, Tuesday 5pm |
| Venue | A physical place, which can contain spaces | Main Track → Lane 1–4 |
| Session | One dated instance of training | U13 Sprints, Tue 3 Sep, 17:00 |
Recurring slots
Give each group its weekday and start/end time, and a home venue. A group can have several slots if it trains more than once a week. Sessions then carry those details automatically, and you only override when something moves.
Venues with spaces
Venues nest one level: a site contains its spaces. Archiving a parent venue archives its active children in the same action, so you cannot end up with a live space inside a closed site.
On the free Starter plan you get one sport, one group and one venue. Pro removes all three limits. Existing data is never deleted when a limit applies — you are only stopped from adding more.
