Taking a register
Marking attendance, what each mark means, and how RSVPs and registers interact.

Open the session and mark each athlete. Registers are designed to be taken on a phone at the trackside, so the marks are large and it saves as you go.

Only Present counts toward attendance rate. Excused absences do not damage an athlete's percentage, which is the point of distinguishing them from Absent.
RSVPs
When a parent or athlete RSVPs, that writes to the same attendance record the coach later marks. A coach's mark takes precedence — the RSVP is an intention, the register is what happened. Every mark records who set it and when.
