Letting families book classes themselves
Opening groups for self-serve booking, capacity, waitlists, and why age bands are advisory.

Rather than fielding "has she got a place on Tuesday?" by text, you can let families search your classes and book a place themselves from the parent portal.
Families can search by class name, sport, coach or venue, and filter by sport, age band, weekday, venue, and whether spaces are left.
Capacity and waitlists
Set a capacity on a group, or leave it blank for unlimited. Once a group is full, further bookings join a waitlist and hold their position; when an active place frees up, the next athlete is promoted automatically.
Age bands are advisory. They are displayed to help a parent choose, but they are never enforced — a guardian can still request a place in a group outside the band. If you need a hard age rule, you have to police it yourself.
Parents can withdraw a booking themselves, which is what triggers the promotion of whoever is next on the waitlist.
