Badges that award themselves

Defining a badge catalogue so the engine can award milestones automatically, plus manual badges.

Club adminsCoachesReviewed 2 September 2026

Badges are the moment families actually notice the platform: an athlete completes a level, the badge appears on their shelf, and their guardian gets an email the same afternoon.

The awarding engine only fires against badges you have defined. A club with no badge definitions will never award one, and nothing will appear to be wrong — it simply stays silent. If badges are not appearing, check your catalogue is not empty before anything else.

Creating a badge

  1. Go to Badges and create one, scoped to a sport.
  2. Pick an icon and a colour tone from the presets.
  3. Choose whether it is awarded automatically or by a coach.

What awards automatically

  • Level completion — an athlete finishing every skill at a level.
  • Attendance milestones — reaching a number of attended sessions.

Anything else is a manual badge, awarded by a coach at their discretion — club spirit, most improved, and so on. Badges are a Pro feature.
